This week in Hip Hop, Meek Mill turned himself into prison after a judge sentenced him to two to four years in the slammer for parole violations. Also, Eminem gifted fans a taste of what’s to come on his highly anticipated album, Revival, with a Beyoncé-assisted single called “Walk On Water.” And lastly, Tyrese caused havoc on social mess by claiming Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith were sending him $5 million.
Meek Mill Goes To Prison
Meek Mill is behind bars once again after being sentenced to two to four years following violating his probation. JAY-Z wrote a post on Facebook defending Meek and calling the judge’s sentence way too harsh. T.I., Nipsey Hussle, and Rick Ross also came to the Wins & Losses MC’s defense and sent words of encouragement via social media. There’s even a petition to “Save Meek Mill” that has accumulated over 300,000 signatures.
His lawyer, Joe Tacopina, has also been speaking to various publications, accusing the judgeof holding certain things over his head — including a time where she reportedly asked Meek Mill to remake Boyz II Men‘s 1994 #1 hit “On Bended Knee” and he refused. The attorney plans to appeal because he feels the judge’s sentence was a personal vendetta.

Eminem Debuts New Song With Beyoncé
Eminem’s Revival album is starting to become a reality. He just released a song called “Walk On Water” featuring Beyoncé and he’s also reportedly getting ready for a major MTV EMA performance on Sunday (November 12).
Em hinted at the release of “Walk On Water” with a prescription note that advised to “take as needed,” on Wednesday (November 8). Two days later, the meaning of “Walk On Water” was revealed in song form with the help of Beyoncé’s vocals and Rick Rubin’s production.
Reactions to Revival‘s first single were mostly mixed. The song was met with harsh criticism, with some calling the song “trash” and Eminem “washed.” Then, there were some who absolutely loved the collaboration between Queen Bey and Slim Shady.

Tyrese’s Back & Forth With Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith
Tyrese recently claimed Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith gave him $5 million dollars to stay off the internet and help with his legal fees. Later in the week, he posted another video of him smoking a cigar and telling his followers that The Smiths have yet to send him his money.
It was later revealed by TMZ that The Smiths never actually agreed to any such deal. It’s one of many things that have led to Tyrese’s name dominating the headlines in recent weeks, including his public custody battle with his ex-wife over his daughter and his feud with The Rock over the Fast & Furious franchise.
On Saturday (November 11), Tyrese revealed his erratic behavior stems from a mixture of stress and psychotics prescribed to him by his doctor and he was just having a bad reaction.
